Purpose

The Funds were established as a result of collective bargaining agreement between the Employers and Shopmen's Local Union No. 527. It is financed by Employer contributions. The Funds are administrated by a Board of Trustees made up half of representatives of the Union and half of representatives of the Employers. They serve without compensation. The Funds Plans are separate Trust Funds for the purpose of paying the benefits provided under the Plans. The Plans have been qualified by the Internal Revenue Service, as amended by ERISA.
